Description
Beautiful ocean plastic Christmas tree decorations are finally here!
We are offering three different designs which are different sizes- a larger star (7cm) and a smaller snowflake (5cm). The snowflake is about a quarter of the volume overall as its quite dainty, but needs more detailed finishing due to its complex design. We finally have a 6cm glass baulble packed with ocean plastic fluff.
As always, these are hand made and bespoke, so each one is slightly different- we don’t ever mass produce products simply because we don’t have the capacity. A lot of love and effort goes into each item we make and finish by hand. One side of the decoration is smooth and we’ve left one side bumpy rather than sanding it fully. After much playing around we found they shine and sparkle much better when rotating with a hand trim to remove any sharp bits and define the shape instead.
Our Baulbles come either as a single or a set of 4 and are smooth glass finish.
Each batch of Christmas moulds we put in weekly are limited so these are genuinely unique and very limited edition Christmas decorations.
We will release them as they are finished, but anticipate being able to produce only 50 of each style- so this is a decoration that wont be appearing on every tree this Christmas.
Each decoration uses up nonrecyclable marine litter and each purchase literally pays for more beaches to be cleaned!
As with all our products, there will be variance in the colour blue from lighter to very dark- this is due to the fact its made with over 50% rubbish and not all rubbish is pretty or the same colour- it effects the way the pigment reacts and is absorbed. For example polystyrene fluff bits really suck out the pigment and make it lighter and sweet wrappers repel it and making it darker. we have literally no control over this as we cant sperate our litter to that extent. Then temperature effects the cure and reaction with the resin and pigment- there are lots of anomalies- Its always a mystery how they will come out of the pot!! Its funny though that the lighter ones are more sparkly as you can see the rubbish better and the darker blue tends to be duller. So please bare this in mind.
