We wanted to reassure you in these tricky times, a little about how we do business.
Firstly, our workshop is effectively a shed within a shed that is only accessed by the 2 of us, on farmland in the middle of nowhere. We always use high hygiene standards as we have to- working with resin and dust means we both always wear masks and gloves for our own safety.
From there, the semi complete resin pieces head to my house where they are cleaned and get their final polish before being made into a piece of jewellery. We use self adhesive envelopes and stamps.
I am also immunocompromised with a long term serious health condition, so since this whole thing began I have been distancing myself from people and places, then a week ago (before recommended) I took my family into lock down for my safety. My house is probably the cleanest place on earth right now with our daily disinfectants even though we are on lock down. Fortunately Dan and I saw this coming so we got a jump on making and have plenty in stock as craft fair season is coming up.
So in short, our stuff hasn’t left the house for a long time and neither have we, so its about as safe as can be guaranteed in these troubling times. The last thing anyone really needs in their lives is jewellery I know when toilet rolls and soap are in short supply, but it is in times like these that us self employed folk really struggle. So if you have the spare funds and want to support us to keep going in the next couple of months, please do! We can deliver to anywhere in the UK currently without contact with people, but I am extremely lucky to have an army of safe friends and family that are running errands so I’m sure we can accommodate deliveries to further addresses outside the UK if you can bear with us to ensure we are all safe and accept any potential delay.
Stay safe, Be sensible and See you on the other side
